Here's who is behind The Cliuckets, the basic rules of this website and what we do with your data. We've written it so that it makes sense first time round.

1. Who is behind this website

This website, loscliucket.es, belongs to Francisco Bernet Fernández, who writes The Cliuckets under the pen name TENREB.

2. What this website is for

To introduce The Cliuckets children's series, to let you download book 1 for free and, later on, to sell the other books in the series.

3. The books, the pictures and the brand

The texts, illustrations, characters, music, logo and the name "Los Cliucket" / "The Cliuckets" belong to their author and are protected by copyright law. The trade mark "Los Cliucket" has been applied for at the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.

You can download the books and read them at home with your family as often as you like. Unless you have written permission, you may not copy them, sell them, upload them to other websites or use them commercially. Sharing the link to loscliucket.es is always allowed… and very much appreciated!

4. Links to other websites

We link to YouTube (to watch the song) and to Instagram. Those websites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for what they publish.

5. Using this website

Please use the website in good faith. We do our best to keep it running and free of mistakes, but we can't guarantee that one hundred per cent, and we may change its content when we need to.

6. Applicable law

This website is governed by Spanish law. If there is ever a disagreement, it will be settled by the courts that have jurisdiction under the law; if you are a consumer, those where you live.

Privacy

The short version
  • We only ask for your email to send you the download code.
  • If you tick the box, we'll let you know when a new book comes out. You can unsubscribe whenever you like.
  • We never sell or give your data to anyone.
  • Reviews are anonymous: we don't ask for your name or email.
  • We count visits anonymously, without tracking or advertising cookies.

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What data we use and why

To download the book Your email and the 4-digit code we send you. We use them only to send you the code and check that the email is yours. We do this because you ask us to (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep them for 90 days to prevent misuse and then delete them.
To tell you about new books (only if you tick the box) Your email, to send you the occasional message when a new Cliuckets book comes out. We do this because you give us your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), and we keep it until you unsubscribe: every email has a link to do so, or you can write to us.
To know how many people visit us We count visits and the steps of the download anonymously (how many people ask for the code, check it and download the book). We don't use cookies or outside services for this: your IP address is mixed with a key that changes every day and is thrown away straight after, so we can't tell who you are or follow you from one day to the next. We do this in our legitimate interest in improving the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
To read your reviews The rating and message from the “Tell us!” form. They are anonymous: we don't ask for your name or email, so please don't include personal details in your message. We use them to make the books better.

3. Children

The books are for children, but the download and the emails are meant for parents and other adults. If you are under 14, please ask a grown-up to do it for you.

4. Who we share your data with

Nobody, for any other purpose. Only the providers that keep the website running handle it on our behalf: website hosting and email delivery, both provided by dondominio.com (Soluciones Corporativas IP, S.L.), a Spanish company. If any provider ever stored data outside the European Economic Area, it would do so with the safeguards required by the GDPR: certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or, failing that, the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

5. Your rights

You can ask us to show you your data, correct it, delete it, object to our using it, restrict its use, take it elsewhere or withdraw your consent at any time. Email tenreb@loscliucket.com telling us what you need and we'll reply within one month at most. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

6. Cookies

This website only uses one essential technical cookie, which remembers during your visit that you've checked your email so you can download the book. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies (visits are counted anonymously and without cookies), which is why you won't see a cookie banner. The song video and our Instagram open on their own websites (YouTube and Instagram), which have their own policies.
